Mischa Barton
Barton is a theater actor as well as film and television. She is British-American. Slavs, Tony Kushner's play in the New York's Lincoln Center was her first theatrical performance. Also, she played the primary role in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. In 1996 she made her first appearance in the acting world with an appearance on the show All My Children. She has also voiced characters on the Nickelodeon animated series KaBlam! between 1996 and 1997. From 1996 to 1997, she portrayed the leading role in Lawn Dogs alongside Sam Rockwell. The film was her debut important acting job. Her film roles were notable in films like M. Night Shyamalan's psychological drama The Sixth Sense (1999) and the romantic comedy Notting Hill (1999). In 1999, Barton also played in Pups, an indie crime drama. Later, Barton acted as Evan Rachel Wood's girlfriend in the ABC series Once and Again (2001) and also in the drama indie Lost and Delirious (2001). Her role was as Marissa Cooper on the Fox TV show The O.C. in 2003-2006, she received two Teen Choice Awards. Barton has been named the "It girl of 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played the role. Barton has since appeared in the comedic St Trinian's as well as the drama Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring. She played a part in the drama Closing the Ring which was directed Richard Attenborough.
