In the year of his birth, Stallone's trademark smile was caused by a forceps accident. This accident caused the loss of the nerve that left his speechless. Stallone experienced a tough childhood. His parents' hostility that eventually resulted in their divorce, had adverse consequences for both him and Frank. Stallone had his early years in foster care. In the year Stallone was just five years old older, his father relocated the family to the Washington, D.C. area and he set up his own chain of beauty salons. Stallone has spent a lot of time in Maryland, living with his father from 1957, when the couple divorced. Stallone was a troubled child, both academically and emotionally. He was eventually expelled from many schools.

She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School.
