Patina Patina PatinaMiller played the role of Lead Player as the Leading Player in the Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's iconic musical of 1972 "Pippin". Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin", a musical starring Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well as Terrence Man, was directed by Diane Paulus. Patina has put her own contemporary twist on Ben Vereen's performance and managed to master the Fosse movements that were so vital to the production. The performance of Patina earned her a Tony Award in the category of Best Actress, Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was as well in recognition of Outstanding Actress. She previously performed the role as the Leading Player in the American Repertory Theater production of "Pippin" during the month of December 2012 to January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
