Sasha admitted that she was transgender at the time she entered in high school. Sasha was faced with some challenges but knew his family would be there for him and believed that music would assist. The Voice's coaches avoided speaking about the history of Sasha, but Jim revealed his personal through an intro video prior to his performance. Sasha came out in the first year of high school when he began to transition between male and female.
